America needs to reduce their dependence on foreign oil and focus on finding domestic sources of oil.
Solution:
Domestic oil drilling will be a short term fix. Our future success and true energy independence is investing and producing energy using sustainable methods.
Challenge:
Develop new energy technologies that improve the quality of life in our district without threatening and depleting our region’s environmental resources and natural beauty.
Solution:
Provide economic incentives and tax breaks to companies working on the development of new energy technologies Work with the private sector to identify and utilize new energy technologies, especially focused on auto, manufacturing Identify, establish, and maintain sustainable energy sources that are renewable and environmentally friendly to our district’s vast natural resources.
Solar, Wind, and Biodiesel technologies are proving to be effective and efficient energy options. I will work to introduce and support these viable alternatives in our district, thereby reducing our dependence on foreign oil.
